April 1st 1988 saw the arrival of Richmond Classics in Bournemouth, a small store, 1500 square foot in a secondary position off Bournemouth Square at 9 Richmond Hill, where the Richmond Classics name came from!
Richmond Classics has been selling designer clothes to the fashion conscious customers of the south of England for over 22 years, and has built up a reputation that is second to none when it comes to offering the latest in designers and fashion in store!

Richmond Classics has been featured in FHM Magazine, Loaded, Arena and the Sunday Mirror likened the Richmond Classics store to a capsule Harvey Nicholls or Selfridges, which is a great compliment as both these stores are known worldwide for their diversity and fashion savvy!
When you visit the store you will notice that it is divided into individual fashion areas, each one catering for that particular fashionista.
On the ground floor of 9 Richmond Hill, you will find European Designer Casual Wear from the likes of Lacoste, Henri Lloyd, Lyle & Scott, Gio Goi,, Hugo Boss, Fred Perry and for the fashion conscious golfer this season, Boss Green!
This section of the Richmond Classics Store has been decorated with antique wooden fixtures with vintage pieces of designer history adorning the walls, from 1970s typewriters to sewing machines!
The mezzanine area “The Gallery” has the latest designs from Dolce & Gabbana clothing and footwear, Neil Barrett, Dior, Y3,William Hunt famed for his Saville Row suiting, Liam Gallagher’s fashion collection Pretty Green, True Religion jeans direct from Los Angeles, PRPS Jeans which are a favourite with the fashion savvy and celebrities alike along with Diverso Italian bespoke shirts, Poggianti Italian shirting, Jeffrey West, Mainline shoes & Jeffrey West black label footwear, with new lines and exciting designers being added on a regular basis!
A carpet of Roses adorns the floor in the ladies section of 9 Richmond Hill where you can purchase the latest in designs from the likes of Juicy Couture, Polo Ralph Lauren, True Religion Jeans, Robins Jeans, Religion, House of Gods, Vivienne Westwood, Barbour, Hunter Wellingtons, Forever Unique, Wildfox, Paul’s Boutique, Siren, Franklin & Marshall, UCLA, Diesel, G star, Melissa Shoes, Australian luxe, and Ugg Boots.
If you are looking for something different for your feet then the Trainer Lounge for Geeks & Freaks is a must, this section of the Richmond Classics Emporium is where you will see vintage limited edition and collectable old skool trainers hanging from telegraph wires straight outa Brooklyn style and you can purchase Adidas, Nike, Gourmet, Vans, Toms and Creative Recreation.
The next big expansion for Richmond Classics was the Fashion Pharmacy, 5000 square foot of Fashion Remedies!
The Fashion Pharmacy is all about prescribing you with the best fashion remedy, and here you can purchase from the latest in cutting edge street , Diesel, G Star, Adidas Vintage, Fila Vintage, Nike, Money, Two Angle (a French hip hop graffiti street brand popular with the music industry) Star In The Hood, Tinchy Stryder’s brand, Stussy (old skool skate wear), New Era hats, Religion clothing , House of Gods, Crooks & Castles from New York, Supreme Being, Bloc28 (collaboration of graffiti artists with Disney), Humor, UCLA, Franklin & Marshall, Maharishi, and Kid Robot from LA.
The Fashion Pharmacy décor is a step into the unique with raided and rescued hospital paraphernalia to display the brands on offer, an eye chart displays brands names, an illuminated pill trolley is now the cash desk and bespoke wallpaper adorns the walls of the fashion pharmacy with pills etched with the names of the brands/remedies.
Richmond Classics is an ever expanding entity in the fashion world, and the team behind the Emporium is delighted in the awards that it has received within the industry and will continue to achieve success!

In 2009 Richmond Classics was very proud to be chosen as one of three men’s independent fashion retailers in the UK to be personally invited to Buckingham Palace to meet HRH Queen Elizabeth as representatives of the fashion industry and exchange some secret fashion tips with her!!
